And, for a whole lot less while stilldelivering all the boom, clarity, and articulation that any player or discerning guitar aficionado could hope for..Because this BR-260A is a Blueridgeflagshipguitar, only the finest even-grained solid Adirondack Spruce was chosen for the top while the backs and sides were built from the finest, hand selected, solid Rosewood with grained ivoroid bindings, and then hand rubbed to a natural high gloss finish. The one-piece select mahogany neck was skillfully shaped for player comfort and has the traditional diamond-shaped carved volute on the back of the headstock, while pearl, Abalone, and solid Rosewood overlay grace the peghead. The Ebony fingerboard is inlaid with white and abalone pearl position markers and 20 high polished nickel-silver frets. Genuine bone was used for the nut and saddle and 14:1 ratio Gotoh open-back vintage-style tuners withbutterbean buttons were chosen for the tuning machines.Every feature of the Prewar Originals was faithfully reproduced in this gorgeous hand built guitar. From the scalloped forward-X top bracing to the small, maple bridge plate that reinforces the underside of the top. All braces, blocks and linings are just big enough to perform their structural function without adding excess bulk or weight. The solid Adirondack Spruce top is graduated to just the right thickness to balance optimum tone and volume with structural integrity.
