Bonehead Composites Custom Carbon Fiber MFF rifle caseThis item is being sold from the original user. It was issued while assigned to an Army SMU.This is a bit of a unique item. It was made by Bonehead Composites for the Unit, originally for the custom Colt em-fower rifle. It was made using the standard mounting positions of the PEQ-2 laser and EoTech used at the time. the primary purpose of this case was Military Free Fall, where rifles are jumped exposed and can be damaged in a hard landing. The case has multiple features, including:- Aquick shackle release (the red lanyard with brass shackle) that allowed the rifle to be quickly removed from the parachute harness waistband.- Ejection port cutout, allowing the rifle to be fired from within the case- A quick release cable, allowing immediate separationof the case and rapid access of the rifle- A velcro closure, allowing normal opening and closing of the caseThis item was not widely used, but used by some. There was not a lot of these floating around at the unit. I also used this case for mobility operations where the rifle was stored in the vehicle.This case has been modified by me.
