I recently was able to buy this clock from an old watch and clock repair shop. The old clockmaker really loved these ships clocks. He had them prominently displayed behind one of his good watch cases. Could you imagine the stories that they would tell if they could talk ( I can only get them to tic toc ... wink wink )
