This listing is for a chromium plate and glass Duplex Jelly Dish, designed by Harry Laylon (1911-1997) for Chase Brass and Copper Company, Chase Specialty Division, Waterbury, Connecticut, 1930 - 1942.
Measures approximately 4 5/16 × 6 3/4 × 5 5/8 inches (11 × 17.1 × 14.3 cm). Glass is very very slightly frosted. Chase centaur mark on base.
CONDITION: Preowned vintage item. Glass is in great shaped with just a few little irregularities along the outside of the top rim from taking the glass in and out of the chrome base over the year. All very miniscule. There are scratches on the inside surface of the handles again from inserting and removing the glass. On the base, there is some wear along the outside edge. I can see little vertical scratches and with magnification, I can see the copper below the chrome. In one area, I see similar vertical lines lower on the bowl. Expect some scratches as you would find on any vintage chrome piece. The inside of the bowl is in really nice shape on this one with a nice \"satin\" finish showing through the glass.
