Up for your consideration is a mid-century Blaupunkt Virginia 2430 Radio. This unit was produced in 1957-1958. It measures approximately 23\"x 10.25\"x 15\".
The FM band on this radio WORKS. I could not get the AM and shortwave bands to work.
This radio would be a great project for someone who is into restoration.
- The wood cabinet is the most obvious part of the restoration, as it would need to be refinished.
- From what I can research, this radio requires 7 tubes (ECC 85, EF89, ECH81, EF 89, EABC 80, EL84, EM80). There are only five in this unit, and I\'m not sure if they all or good. Some light up.
- The plastic knobs, buttons, and dial face are in good shape.
- The bottom appears to have no cover. See last photo.
