It is a R4-M4ME the M4ME is a Electric side mounted choke Rochester Quadrajet 4 barrel carburetor, which means the choke is located on the passenger side connected to the carburetor and uses key on power source .
4 Barrel Quadrajet with "SIDE FUEL INLET".Compatible with Chevy/GMC trucks and cars 1980 thru 1989. Available for 305, 350, 400 and 454 Engines Factory Equipped with ELECTRIC choke.

Note:
1. No instructions，Professional installation is highly recommended

2. Please make sure your base has spread bore and has the same Base Bolt Pattern as the stock Quadrajet. Otherwise it cannot be installed directly without an adapter.

3. New carbs comes ready to install , but it may need to adjust mixture, idle, and float adjustments due to your engine, its condition, your location.

4.We recommends a regulated pressure of 5 to 5.5 psi on these carbs, with a max of 6.5 psi. If you have a 7 lb or higher pump it is recommended run a fuel pressure regulator.

5.These extra jets are for DIY purpose, if you don't need to modify your part,they are just unnecessary.

6.For guarantee fitment, please provide us with carb part number and 3-5 pictures of the original carb to confirm .

The much smaller primaries act as a small two-barrel carburetor until the accelerator is pressed far enough to start to open the secondaries. The small primaries allow the primary throttle plates to be opened wider, and thus making the carburetor more efficient than a large two barrel, or square bore four-barrel.2.Drivability. The small primaries also create better throttle response at part throttle application. The Quadrajet had a centrally located float that gave it excellent fuel control form the triple Venturi, boosters.3.Off Road. The Quadrajet’s centrally located float is highly resistant to level changes caused by cornering or acceleration.
