Ball measure +,- 1.86\" , consistent with canister shot used in 24 lb cannon and 8\" howitzer. weight is about .87 lb. This was found in the edge of a farm field in rural Missouri in the early 1970\'s. The ball is uneven in roundness. It is in very good condition, but rusted from exposure. there is still a remnant of a \"sprue\" or \"fin\" evident on the surface, and can be seen in the photo\'s. You are offerding on a single ball.
