Clarendon Piano Company was established in Rockford, IL. by the Haddorff Piano Company. Based on the serial number been told this Piano is from 1924.
This upright piano has the spool box above the keyboard. Two sliding doors open to expose the spool box. The play and reroll levers are located in front of the keyboard in the \'flipboard\'. There is also a tempo lever which allows you to either make the music play faster or slower. There are also Bass Soft and Treble Soft controls, which effectively reduce the volume of the music adding another degree of expression to music. The Sustain Lever senses special perforations in the music roll which in turn activates the device automatically.
There are many music spools that come with this, estimated to be over 100, QRS. Among the titles are: \'He\'s Got the Whole World in His Hands\', \'Fiddler on the Roof\', \'The Christmas Song\', \'Christmas Greetings\', \'Rock of Ages\', \'Amazing Grace\', \'Alley Cat\', \'Swanee River Moor\', and many more. There are sometitles inCzech, Yugoslavia, and Bulgaria. Some of the spools date back to 1917-18. Someare from the early 70\'s. Many are not dated or not able to find a date on them.
