The tube tester was plugged in and the tester does light up. Line adjust working, as shown.

Portable useful tester, will be great as it can test the antique 4/5 tubes as well as the 7/9 pin peanut tubes (12ax7 etc).

Results VERY CLOSE with my reference tubes, about 3-5% off where I would expect. As with any vintage tester, you could certainly plan on a calibration and service, but could also be used as-is for reasonably close results.
Also to note: The power cord needs replacing, as it is exposed in areas. Please plan on replacing for safety. I carefully plugged in and used it, but in order to be safe, plan on replacing immediately. This is important for your safety.
