A nice 4\" high mug produced by Copeland Spode for Thomas Goode & Co Ltd to commemorate the Coronation of King George VI & Queen Elizabeth II in 1937, interesting piece with portraits of the King & Queen to the front and reverse is the Accession date of December 11th 1936 when King George\'s brother Edward signed the instrument of Abdication, most Coronation mugs carries the date of the 10th December when it was Edward\'s intention to give up the Throne of England, a nice gilt rim and the commemoration and dates are all in gilt. In excellent condition no chips cracks or repairs and no rubbing to the gilt. A super clean looking piece to add to a collection of Royalty collection.
