Up for sale is a terrific amp by Crate......the VTX212 2 x 12 COMBO AMPLIFIER !
This is a great universal combo amp! 120 Watts of power!!! Great for all styles of playing! I would say that this amp is geared more towards metal heads, 90\'s grunge players, shredders, and any other musician that needs high gain sounds, as evidenced by its strong \"solo\" channel.You CAN achieve some more lower gain, crunchy overdrive sounds for less brutal styles such as country, soft rock, classic rock and even some hard rock....you just have to turn the gain on the \"rhythm\" channel down real low to get those genres, with the exception of probably hard rock. The clean channel is very clear and sparkly, even with a lower grade or not so high level guitar such as my Aero Blue Sawtooth Classic, also for sale here on in my store. Definitely not bad for a solid state amp!Also makes a great platform for all of your pedals. As you already probably guessed, this versatile amp has three switchable channels: clean, rhythm and solo.....so it is super versatile and you can pretty much play any genre you need with this one unit!
This amp also has a very excellent digital reverb. This would be perfect if you are in a surf metal band ! In all seriousness, the reverb on this unit is no joke. No matter what music you play, it is very useful and musical for your sonic endeavors. It\'s a very powerful effect and needs to be handled with care, especially on this amp !
Speaking of effects, there are more than an ample amount of them onboard this amp, courtesy of a very powerful DSP section. It is complete with several delays and all kinds of modulations like Chorus, Flanger and Phaser. It even has some added value effects that you don\'t always get with amps such as an octave -r as well as an auto wah !!!!!
CD input connectors round out the control packed front panel. There is also an insert jack as well as an additional speaker out in the back of the amp so you can also run it through another speaker cab. Not that you would need it, as this amp has a whopping 120 watts of power as well as a 2x12 speaker array that includes a brand new Celestion Seventy - 80 as an upgrade! And it has an open back, too. so you have really good sound projection and coverage, especially when playing outdoors!
So many excellent sounds can be had from this one mighty box!!! (Please take into account that this amp will be packed around tightly with bubble wrap and packed securely in a box with additional packing material when you estimate the size of the shipping packaging.)
This amp is in very good shape and comes to the lucky buyer nice and clean.
