Vintage Deer Antler Handled Hand Made sheath knife with 5 1/4\" clip point blade with a push tang imbedded into an antler tip with a metal ferrule enclosing the tip. The handle is a whitetail deer antler with crown with the brow tine filed off. The overall length of the knife is just under 10\". There is a distinct stamping on the left side of the blade that I believe reads KOTTIF CUTLERY CO. Germany enclosed in a rectangular stamping. There is a good degree of discoloration and pitting so the name is slightly illegible and this is my estimation of the name. Pitting and discoloration aside there is still some good steel here and it would make a nice patch knife for blackpowder shooters. There are some nicks in the blade edge but they can be worked out with careful sharpening. I believe the blade is epoxied into the antler.
