Very nice, very rare, beautiful Denon DP-59L.Please see the pictures. Excellent cosmetic shape. Very good functionally as all functions work as they should. This is a very rare and very well built Turntable. Weight is 33 pounds. The sound is simply amazing. The build quality is over the top with a very thick plinth and beautiful aluminum metalwork. An amazing piece of engineering. They truly do _not_ make them like this anymore. If they did it would cost thousands to get the same build quality. I won`t go into the specifications as you, as a Denon turntable enthusiast, probably know them already!
This turntable is in excellent condition. There are no flaws that I can see and I have owned and played this table for several years. I used an AT-152LP cartridge when I was using this table but have setup the AT440MLa on this table as it is almost new with maybe 10 hours total on it? The table originally came to me with the 152 cartridge but had a broken stylus so I bought the 440 to use as it is a very decent cartridge that hits above it`s price! Shortly after installing the 440 (like a week after), I found a stylus for the 152 and I replaced the 440 with it. I don`t think the 440 is even broken in yet. It has been in it`s box until I put it on this Denon.
The table itself is in excellent condition. There are no marks or flaws of any kind that I have ever seen on this table. The original owner previous to me was an engineer and it shows. The dust cover has some very faint swirl marks akin to what happens after dusting. There is one or two slightly larger marks but I cannot get the camera to see them. The table`s feet are also in excellent condition with no signs of aging. They can be adjusted up or down to level the table. The leads to the cartridge appear to have shrink wrap indicating the leads were spliced in. As the previous owner was an engineer, I have no concerns.
I will include the originalowners manual and a one page glossy brochure. Also the original AT440 box with tools, instructions, etc. Sorry but I do not have the original box for the table. What you see is what I have. I would prefer you pick it up in person, but that is not realistically possible in all situations.
This is a beautiful turntable and works as it should although it is used and 20-ish years old so I cannot accept returns except if the table is not in the condition I have described. Do not worry, you will not be disappointed! Any fault in functionality that occurs between my possession and your possession will be considered an insurance claim as the player is working properly now. I hate to be this way but there have been several occasions where perfectly functioning electronics magically do not work after arriving at their destination and are returned to the original owner devoid of a critical part which has been replaced with a non-functioning part to the dismay of the seller, and to the joy of the non-buyer, who now has a functioning part to repair his own broken piece. Let`s not play that way.
I have put a fair price on this piece considering rarity and condition.
I will remove the platter, dust cover and the cartridge prior to shipping and of course secure the tonearm. It will be packaged very well, however, I would prefer local pickup if at all possible!
