Translucent contour sectional Feed matrices are designed for Class II Black restorations using both chemical and light-curing sealing materials.
Sectional translucent contour matrices are made of high-strength dacron with a thickness of 70 microns. They are formed in 3 planes - this is important for reproducing the anatomy of the tooth. The matrices have an ideal anatomical shape, sufficiently strong and rigid due to technological processing.
Transparent sectional matrices have been used in everyday practice to achieve optimal anatomy of the lateral surfaces of the frontal teeth due to their elasticity and ability to be adapted to a large number of teeth.
Working with anatomical matrices, it becomes possible to recreate an accurate anatomical contour. When working with adjacent cavities, two matrices should be put at once: the first will recreate the contour of the lateral surface of the tooth, the second will serve as support for the first. After modeling the wall, the first matrix is removed to ensure the reconstruction of a denser contact point.
Kormed-R produces 4 standard sizes of sectional translucent matrices. The matrices differ in height and curvature: small with a protrusion, small without a protrusion, large without a protrusion, large with a protrusion.
Translucent contour sectional matrices are most effective when working with light materials, as they make it possible to highlight from the side walls. In addition, dacron sectional matrices with a protrusion are less traumatic compared to metal ones when filling subgingival cavities with a closely located and inflamed gingival nipple.
