Dual 1009 Turntable Unit & Box / Manual. <018537>No cartridge is included.Unit needs the typical service most old Duals require at this age.The start stop swing lever needs adjustments or even to be replaced.The pitch control does work yes as well as the cue.The unit will play if you tinker with the swing switch. Takes some time to figure it out though.Does not function as it should however no.There are 2 stacking spindles included.1, 45 adapter.Original manual and empty Dual box no packing or not much packing.The unit itself is in superb cosemetic condition for being this age.It will make for a fine restoration project.The RCA cables are there but are not longer any good due to age. Generate noise.The unit does make some faint background noise while listening to a record.Even with good RCA\'s put on it.More of a faint idler mechanical noise than a ground noise.You get the Dual 1009 Turntable motor unit.1 Dual 1009 sled headshell carrier.Counter weight.2 spindles.1 45 adapter.1 short chrome LP adapter.1 manual.1 Dual 1009 box.No other parts ae included here.Yes we have heard it complete before taking it apart.The speed sounded very good.It does need service though yes.But, looks really nice and unmolested.While this is is not a huge piece.It does require a large outer box beyond the size of the one here.We cannot send it for less.We have a system for shipping we use with most Duals.That we keep platter in place and shim the gaps
while firmly holding the platter in place.Without altering anything as you see it.The last 1229 that went out was done this way and, they were very happy with how we did it.But do stand behind that you will get it just fine intact as seen the way we will pack it.Do not worry about the platter it will be secured as we do it, it will not fly off.Our price reflects the excellent cosmetic condition of the unit and other factors.We feel it\'s within what it should be for having the box and manual and needing service.Hardly much wear on it being this age.Cosmetically we don\'t feel you will find very much better.if you are Dual collector this is a must have piece.
