This antique CAST IRON gambling machine, is patented DECEMBER 16, 1890( note the photo of back of head)
DICK BUESCHEL in his book - felt it may have been the FIRST coin op machine ever made—patented as a ROTATING TOY—a very clever way to get the patent- as gambling machines can not be patented
The cards now line up since adjustments have been made
The machine operates with the insertion of a PENNY and the pull of a lever, adding to its vintage charm. The intricate details and craftsmanship of this piece make it a true conversation starter.
Its historical significance cannot be denied, as it represents a piece of the early days of coin-operated gaming.
