Up for sale is a rare and exceptional copy of the first edition/first printing of the 1947 Guidebook of U.S. Coins by R.S. Yeoman (copyright 1946) 254 Pages. The book is in amazing condition. The spine/binding is solid and tight, the front and back covers and corners are in exceptional condition and the gold gilt on the spine and cover looks as if the book was never used as a reference guide and was stored in a desk away from sun light from the day it was purchased. The inside contents are clean and free of any writing with the exception of the inside front cover that has a dedication on it. Other than that this is a beautiful copy of the holy grail of the Guidebook of U.S. Coins by Yeoman, This highly sought after and highly collectible first edition of the \"Red Book\" series is the first press run (as noted by the phrase \"which probably accounts for the scarcity of this date\" on page 135) of which only 9000 copies were printed and quickly sold out and is extremely difficult if not impossible to find in this nice of condition and will make a wonderful addition to any coin book/numismatic collection. I have been collecting these coin books for over 40 years and this is the nicest first edition I have ever seen.
