This is the absolute best deal you can get for a fresh roller Cobra Jet Engine. It’s a turn-key. I have $12,340 in this engine with no labor fee added. My loss is your gain. Last picture lists items and costs to build this beautiful motor.

1969 428 Cobra Jet C scratch Turn Key Complete Engine. Every nut and bolt is new and factory correct. Mo Don’t waste your time and money on other engines. I’ve been building FE engines for 25 years. Plenty of references. Please note the last bell-housing mounting arm was damaged & repaired in the past. I had it cleaned and Magged with no issues found. New cam bearings, freeze plugs and honed to 4.17 .040 giving you a total of 438 cubic inches Block date code 9D24. (24 April 1969). All oil upgrades completed. 62PSI using my drill to prime her.

Crankshaft is a true 1UB FOMOCO Cobra Jet part that was turned .010 on the mains and .010 on the rods. Main bearings are New Old Stock Johnson performance set and rods are King .010 performance as well. Crankshaft end play was at .004 & .012, Main bearing clearance was .0025

Heads are genuine C80E-N Cobra Jet that were just gone through and are custom setup for this engine. Date codes are 0A6 (6 Jan 1970) and 9K28 (28 October 1969) new guides, Trick-Flow Roller Springs Kit, hardened exhaust seats. Stainless tri cut valves. Over $2,500 invested in CJ heads. They should flow excellently.

Intake Manifold is also a 1969 Cobra Jet unit with a date code of 9E17 (17 May 1969)

Camshaft is a Howards Cams Retrofit Hydraulic Roller Camshaft 250705-10. It’s a modern hydraulic roller with matching roller lifters. Advertised Duration 271/277 Lift .525/525, 110 lobe separation with a fair idle. It’s gonna have a noticeable thump. Excellent street performance that pulls hard from 1200-5800 RPM and should produce around 425 or more horsepower and 460 lbs of torque. 10:1 compression.

Complete reconditioning of the connecting rods with Speed Pro Hyperutectic Pistons (balanced) and Hastings Molly Rings.

Rod clearance was .006

I installed a freshly restored 1969 428 CJ 735 CFM carburetor C9AF- 9510 U that will supply plenty of fuel for this engine.

I also installed the small plastic spacer that goes between the intake and the carburetor.

I installed a 1969 FORD 428CJ water pump for this build.

Providing your spark will be a new Petronix ignition with a 45000 watt coil with matching wires and double platinum plugs. This is a great upgrade from stock and will certainly provide all the spark needed for a clean burn. 🔥

New Melling M57 oil pump with a new pickup tube will provide plenty of clean lubrication throughout the engine. We have 62 psi cold with a drill priming it.

New ARP oil pump drive. I also Installed oil restriction plugs in the heads with smaller hole to reduce the amount of oil to the top end. You no longer have to worry about too much oil pumping into the heads and starving the main bearings. This is a must on any FE Engine Build.

Power Steering unit is a brand new Cardone unit with a brand new factory correct pulley. All mounting hardware is new and brackets reconditioned.

Also comes with an original FOMOCO Cobra Jet oil pan, adjustable rockers, correct 428 CJ fuel pump, 428 CJ oil filter adapter, vacuum hoses, fuel line, water pump with alternator brackets, alternator, power steering and pulleys.

I have the correct 428 Cobra Jet Fan with an aftermarket fan clutch for this package!

This is a true representation of FORD’s mighty Cobra Jet. Block, heads, rods, crankshaft, intake, oil filter adapter, fuel pump, water pump, PCV System, cooling fan blades and carburetor are all true CJ parts.
