Fur Trade Axes Belt Ax Pipe Tomahawks Indian Hartzler Signed 1995 Early American:
$250.00

The photography in this book is exceptional - extensive, clear and detailed! Just the thing we look for in a great book.
This book is a professional and extensive examination and presentation of fur trade era trade goods, most specifically trade axes and tomahawks. Also covers belt axes and other iron axes used in the early days of America, more so by Native Americans, but also by the white man. This book is a superior reference (and a must have!) for all enthusiasts of the fur trade - historians, researchers, collectors and diggers/metal detectors. This is the best book to date on this subject! Seems that John Baldwin\'s \'Tomahawk\' book is more sought after and commands a higher price than this one. BUT THIS IS A BETTER BOOK IN ALL REGARDS!
This copy is inscribed and signed by the author - Dan Hartzler.
Size of this book is 12 1/2\" x 9 3/8\". 263 pages. Very well illustrated - has 8 pages with wonderful color photos and then tons more photos in black and white. The covers and spine are full fake leather with fabulous gilt lettering, once again even better than Baldwin\'s book, and this one comes with a spectacular dust jacket.
This listing is for one original, complete, high quality hardcover book with dust jacket. Free shipping to any of the 50 U.S. states.
