Here is a beautifully restored 1920\'s OAKLAND (OPD) Police Call Box Telephoneand 1950\'s Street Pedestal assembly from Hello Central Antique Telephone Company. This is not a replica Call Box or Street Pedestal assembly and may not have been previously used in the City of Oakland.The Police Call Box and Pedestal assembly were manufactured by the Gamewell Company. Although, I believe that the Police Call Box Front Door was manufactured by the City of Oakland.ThePolice Call Box is made of cast aluminum (herculite) with deeply \"embossed\" lettering. The 1950\'s Gamewell Street Pedestal is made of cast iron, cast aluminum and heavy gauge steel.The Gamewell Police CallBox, Telephone and Street Pedestal have a Powder Coated Finish (baked on enamel) with professional hand painted lettering. An early Gamewell Brass Lock and T Handle Key are attached to the Front Door.

Inside the policecall box is a 1930-40\'s Western Electric Model 211 Telephone that has been converted for use on today\'s telephone system. The CallBox Telephonealso features a working Top Light Assembly with a Cobalt Blue Glass Globe.
