Gibson RB-800, one-owner, belonged to my Dad and I was there when he traded in his RB-250 for it. It has been well-played, the plating is worn off in many places. It has had a repair to the tone ring, performed by, cleaned up, and set up by a professional musical instrument shop. Serial number is 510557, which I believe places it as a 1974 or so, but the Gibson numbers are a little confusing to me. Has Scruggs tuners installed and comes with original hardshell case. As far as I know, this instrument is set and ready to go, but I know very little about these, so I have to say \"sold as is\" (my response is 100%). I am charging $200 for packing, shipping, and insurance, but will immediately refund any difference between that and what it really costs to pack, insure, and ship it. Payment by Paypal. Okay, I am adding some more photos to help answer the questions that came in. Maybe tone ring is not the correct term, but it is a ring (hoop?) that the lugs go through. I took the back off (thanks for the advice that it only means four set screws - I don\'t want to take it apart too much because it would screw up the set up that was done). Here\'s some more photos shot through a magnifying lamp. One photo has an ellipse drawn in around the repair. Clarification - this is a repair to the metal ring, not to the wooden or gold plated parts.I had answered many questions and thought they were out to all buyers, but I guess not, so I hope this helps.
