For sale this week is this beautiful oil painting on artist\'s board by British Impressionist painter Harry Mitton Wilson. Wilson was a London painter who was known for his romanticized paintings of real places. Among other clients was the London Underground. He exhibited widely including at the Royal Academy. This is a serene painting of horses at the edge of a river bank. It is signed by the artist lower right and from the label verso was painted at the beginning of the 20th century. It is framed with a heavy gilded wood frame. The painting measures about 10 x 14 inches. The frame measures about 15 x 18 inches. In total the painting weighs about 1822 grams. The painting is in fair condition with some minor losses and wear. The frame has scratches, loss and wear throughout.
