Hunter Original 38\" Vintage, USA Made Ceiling FanAntique Brass, Pecan Blades, ReverseAire BracketsUp for sale is a beautiful, classic Hunter Original 38\" ceiling fan. This particular model was proudly made in the USA in 1981 and features an antique brass finish with real-wood pecan finished blades. It also has the unique ReverseAire blade irons that allow you to rotate the blades to push air upwards during the colder months. From the factory, this fan has 2-speeds, however I have added a capacitor to give it 3rd functional speed for maximum comfort.This fan is in overall good condition for a 43-year old ceiling fan. It has been carefully taken apart and the oil cup, shaft and housing thoroughly cleaned. It has a new o-ring and 3-speed pull chain. The capacitor used to provide a 3rd, functional low speed is new as well. The fan is well balanced and runs smooth. Photos are of the actual fan you will receive. Since this fan is 4 decades old, it does have imperfections; please see the photos for more details.These vintage Originals are highly sought after due to their powerful motor, 4\" shaft, oil bath lubrication, indestructible cast iron housing, and real-wood blades. While Hunter still sells an Original brand new, they ceased producing them in the United States in 2002. The newer, Chinese made Originals are not nearly as powerful or durable. Their design changed very little from their introduction in 1903 all the way up until they were outsourced in 2002. These solid, extremely heavy fans are built to last a lifetime.
