Hilda was made in Germany by J D Kestner. Her bisque head is marked ...\"Made in Germany\" JDK 237 1914 \"Hilda\" 1070. Her head has been lit and no issues appeared.
She measures about 17-18 inches long and has the more unusual brown glass eyes. The lashes are mostly missing from her right eye although is it is not so noticeable. Hilda\'s sleep eyes work well.
Hilda has some wear on her hands and a wee bit around the neckline as shown, but other than that, her composition body is in very nice condition for her age, and does not appear to have been repainted, although I cannot confirm this. Her stringing is good.
Hilda is dressed in a modern cotton long sleeve onesie, a vintage cotton under shirt, and a vintage cotton slip, along with a long vintage cotton white christening dress, and stockings, and a dainty bonnet. Her wig is a replacement and is not attached so that her head can be packed for shipping.
She is from a clean smoke free environment. Hilda really is a very cute baby girl doll! Her sister, Baby Jean is also listed in a separate sale.
