History:
James W. Armstrong, 73 (Capt. J.) entered into rest on September 29, 2015 in Manteca, CA. He was born on November 14,1941 in Galveston, Texas. James was in the Air Force at Nellis AFB, Las Vegas, Nevada, received an honorable discharge in 1964.
James worked in the bay area as an Electronics Engineer for 45 years.
James was known for being meticulous in everything he did especially in his watercolor art. As a hobby James painted watercolor art with boats, harbors, lighthouses and seascapes. James was known as Capt. J. to all his friends and art collectors. He would spend up to 80 hours on one piece of art.
James and wife, Shirley, went to around 20 Arts and Craft Shows a year. He sold limited edition prints of his art. James had collectors of his art all over the bay area and in other countries for souvenirs of the USA.
