Almost never seen and even even more rarely offered for sale ... Jensen 18\" \"Super Giant\" electro dynamic pedestal speaker made for The McMurdo Silver Co circa 1936. This speaker was designed for the Masterpiece VI model radio. A one of a kind chance to complete your McMurdo Silver radio or of course .. these are insanely popular with ultra high end audiophiles the world over!

Gigantic 18\" paper cone on this classic footed speaker .... the cone and spider are entirely original with only minor repairs professionally done to the outer edge section of the cone. There are no patches to the interior surface of the cone or the spider. The series field coil measures 690 ohms, shunt field coil is 8060 ohms and the voice coil is 5.6 ohms. All original parts ... WORKING. The pedestal was sand blasted to remove all rust, then repainted. The basket and housing were carefully cleaned and repainted in the original silver color.

The speaker measures approx 18\" W x 10 1/2\" D x 18 1/2\" H and unpacked weight is approx 45 pounds! ... Shipment will be in a custom made wooden crate. Crate is made from 3/4\" plywood, 22\" W x 14\" D x 24\" H and weighs 35 lbs. Total weight is 80 lbs. Speaker is fastened by 4 bolts through the bottom of the box so it cannot move. Front of cone will be bolted to the box as well. About as close to indestructible packing as you can get. Shipping [FedEx], handling and insurance is $150.00 max in the US 48 states. AK or HI - $275.00, Canada - $300.00, International - $450. Pick up in Roanoke, VA right off of I-81 would be perfect.
