For sale is a John Deere3 rowplanterequipped with model 7200/7300 units. They are real similiar to the models 7000 / 7100 row units. They are just a little newer with a few updates. Planter is in good condition. Row width is set at 30\" but could be adjusted.This is a3 point mounted planter with cat 1 pins. Brackets are bolted on and are adjustable.Pins on brackets are low enough sothat plantercan be raised high enough out of the ground,even for lower compacttractors.
This is a hydraulic driven planter. I build these with a hydaulic motor and ahydraulic flow controlvalve with bypass return. This allowsit to be used witha tractor that has a open center or closed center hydraulic system. Most of your compact tractors have open center systems.This will work with any tractor that has hydraulic capabilities. It also allows you to adjust the seeding rate to anyseed populationdesired. This set up eliminates the drive tire and drive tirechain/sprockets. You can also slide your row units closer together if wanted for narrower row spacings since there is no tire in the center. Another nice feature is that you can turn your meters while driving and lift the planter out of the ground to see what kind of seed spacing you are getting.
Seeding depth is adjustable with the quick adjust T handle. Planter has truvee openers with dual guage wheels for accurate seed placement. Press wheels have quick adjust down pressure.Boxes havecorn meters installed. Can be fitted with optionalsoybean or milo meters. Takes about a minute per row to change. I can exchange thecorn meters forsoybean meters if wanted. Planter has optional furrow openers. These are the disc blades that set in a v formation in front of each opener. They are used for clearing trash and clods out of the way for the seed opener to run on a level surface. Normallysellfor $100 per row, but since theywere already on the planter, I am including at half price for a total of $150 for all 3.
options:1) I can installinsecticide boxes (rear box that sets behind the seed box) for $100 per row. These could also be used for planting small seeds like turnips.2)I can install a insecticide box that has been altered to apply fertilizer for $250 per row.
This planter is heavier than the 71 flex. Coupled with four down pressure springs per row unit, this planter will notill plant. It will also plant in tilled conditions. Planter is simple to operate. The 7000 series is known for being well built and dependable. This would be the perfect size for food plots or the smaller farmer.
