JW York & Sons , Grand Rapids, MI PerfecTone Long Cornet c. 1912:
$300.00
This great horn is a long cornet made by JW York & Sons in Grand Rapids, MI around 1912. The serial number is 32669, and it is stamped on the valve casing, as well as all 3 valves. It is silver plated with gold plating around the stamp and inside the bell. The silver plating has some wear on the back side of the valve casing and on the second valve slide, as shown in the photos. This horn has a few minor dents and dings, as shown in the photos. All valves and slides move freely. It has mother of pearl finger buttons. It comes with a vintage unmarked mouthpiece and an unoriginal lyre. It also has the original hard case, which is in good condition with only some very minor signs of age. Please take a look at the photos for more details. Thanks!
