Lafayette TE-21 Tester, tests a range of old and new tubes, transistors, Diodes For Sale

I am offering a Lafayette TE-21 Emission Type Tube Tester for sale.This tester seems to be in good operating condition. It is in great condition for a 1962 tube tester. It appears to have not had much use in the times past. The faceplate and the inside of the unit are very clean and great cosmetic condition. I had to re-roll the tube chart as it had come unglued, but it seems to working great now.This tester has a good complement of sockets to test newer and older tubes (see the photo). I show the tester testing a 6L6 tube that is at 4950 gm tube as measured on my Hickok testers. I also show a 6V6 that is measured at approx 80% on my Sencore TC-162 and my B&K 707. Please note that both tubes read very close the comparative tube tester measurements. The only thing that is not cosmetically great is the meter faceplate. It appears to have been touched with a soldering iron (??) or something hot. The tolex covering is in great shape with no torn or damaged places. All in all I would rate this tester on 10 scale at a 9.5 rating.I have the original owners manual with operating instructions for testing tubes, transisitors and diodes. I did not check the transistor/diode functions of this unit. There is a battery inside that is used in testing transistors, it appears. It was dead and I did not work on that part of the tester as I was mainly interested in the tube testing functions. I am selling it as is, used and working, but it will be up to the buyer to check out the transistor and diode testing functions if you want those. I have found that using a transistor tester or meter works fast and easy for that.If you decide the offer, please ask any questions prior to offerding that you may be concerned about.
