LOVELY VTG RECTANGLE COCKTAIL GALLERY TRAY SHEFFIELD SILVER PLATE CHASED VANITY For Sale

This is a wonderful VINTAGE SMALL SILVER PLATED GALLERY VANITY OR DINING ROOM TABLE TRAY MADE BY SHEFFIELD SILVER CO. The tray measures 8 3/4\" x 4 1/4\" x 7/8\". The pierced gallery measures 1/2\" tall. The tray is signed on bottom \"Sheffield Silver Co. USA EPC 9-80\". The EPC stands for Electroplated on Copper. Sterling silver adheres to copper extremely well so it was a popular second metal for silver plated items. The tray is beautifully chased in shells, flowers and scrolls in a Rococo manner. The silver plate is all present except on the very bottom of the ball feet. Please, see photo. The condition of the tray is very good with only a dent caused by the ball foot in one of the corners. It in no way affects the beauty or use of the tray. All four ball feet are extremely sturdy and the tray sits perfectly. The tray can be used for almost anything. It would be lovely with perfume bottles or anything on the vanity. It would also be a nice sugar and creamer tray or for a sauce jar.
