Lyman Alaskan Scope Correct for M1D & 03-A4 Rifles & Classic Sproting Rifles:
This is a genuine original Lyman Alaskan rifle scope. These scopes were used on sporting rifles and also used by the military on sniper rifles like the M1D and the 03-A4. This scope is 11-3/8 inches long with a 7/8 inch diameter main tube and standard cross hairs. It has an "A" prefix on the serial number meaning that it is later production perhaps during the Korean War era. This scope is in very good used condition with more than 98% of the original finish remaining. There are rings marks and a scratch from being mounted on a rifle. The optics are crystal clear with no scratches and no fogging. The cross hairs are clean and straight. The view through the scope is bright and clear with no dust or debris. The pictures show the condition well. This is a very nice looking fully functional scope that would look great on your M1D or M1903-A4 sniper rifle or on any vintage sporting rifle.
