MOORCROFT: This is a rare and exquisite William Moorcroft creation in the unique urn-style design. On this shape, Moorcroft has placed his iconic pomegranate design, this time over a less-common smoky green, as well as the more recognizable deep blue. It catches the eye and holds it.
The base is marked with both \"Burslem\" and \"England\", a practice the company did not use unit 1921. This places this vase between 1921 and 1927, when vases began carrying acknowledgement of the Moorcroft Royal Appointment.
This beautiful vase stands 8-7/8 inches tall and measures 5-1/2 inches at its widest. The mouth is 4-1/4 inches across and the footprint is 3-1/2 inches.
It is signed on the base by William Moorcroft.
