This beautiful lamp base is made by Marianne Starck, leading designer in 60s at Michael Andersen and Son art pottery (1890- ), Bornholm (a small island in the Baltic Sea), Denmark. The factory was founded by the potter Jens Michael Andersen, who\'s 4 sons were all trained potters, working at the factory.
This lamp base has Michael Andersen stamp! It is signed MS E. The color of this lamp base is blue and grey. Stoneware is from middle of century. The tall lamp base has \"cracelee\" glaze (Persian glaze) after Daniel Andersen, made in years 1930-50. Abstract pattern is hand painted. Beautiful vintage condition! No large chips, no cracks, repairs, or crazing. On the bottom some usage marks and little piece of glaze in fallen off. Look photos!
