copied from internet-TheMechanical Model 4000 are cell type transplanters that use a kicker shoe to deliver plants to the packing wheels. They feature the direct drive float wheel to firm up the soil so the shoe can cut a groove to match the cell size. The model 4000 will set cells that are 5/8\" to 1 1/4\" wide. They can space plants from 7 1/2\"and up in the row or 5\" and up with special gearing. Between row spacings are adjustable from 18\" and up on multi-row planters.
