This exquisite piece of art is a mid-19th century Kota Mahongwe reliquary figure. It was made to ward off grave robbers, so this one is evidently faulty. The manufacturer is no longer around, so...
this one is cheap! I can\'t find the warranty card.
The sculpture is a magnificent representation of the Kota tribe\'s rich cultural heritage concerning death.
The figure is well-preserved and has been kept in good enough state to freak out your mum when she comes on holiday. Put it in the guest room and tell \'er she\'ll be safe cuz \'it\'s watching over ya!\'
The craftsman was truly exceptional, and dead as well. I wondered if he carved a Lemon for himself, too. Hmmmm?
It is a must-have for any collector of African freaky-deaky.
I can almost promise it\'s not haunted. Bit, I can guarantee great packaging!
Have a great day above ground!
