Everything has been stored in a climate controlled, smoke free, pet free environment. Bought at our local Box Lunch. They remove the ties that hold the straps. Not sure why. I have gently secured them with twine for the photos and then removed. The zippers have been tested and are good. Since the backpack has been removed from its dustbag, it is being stored in a clean plastic bag to help ensure that there are no scuffs or damage.
