The DTerminator 2 XCX/XCP pole, strand or wall mount closure terminal is intended for new construction and rehabilitation, providing mechanical strength, security, and environmental protection for your connection. The kit consists of two main components: a plastic housing and a ADTerminator 2 6-pair cross connect block. TYCO TELECOMMUNICATIONS (COMMSCOPE)Electronics’ unique IIDC (inverted insulation displacement connector) accommodates 1.02 - 51mm (18-24 AWG) subscriber wires without stripping the insulation or using special tools. Wires can be connected and disconnected many times, even after prolonged exposure to extreme temperatures. The DTerminator 2 XCX upgradable terminal block includes a ground strip. Although it is an unprotected model, the driver modules can be easily replaced in the field with protected driver modules, by replacing pairs marked T1R, T2R, etc., saving unnecessary initial cost. The DTerminator 2 XCP protected terminal block contains driver modules with factory-sealed circuit protectors. Each connection is protected by three-element gas discharge tube.

Protected and unprotected blocks of the same pair count are the same size, leaving plenty of room to store wirework in the compact housings. • DTerminator 2 terminal connections can be re-entered and re-sealed many times, even after prolonged exposure to temperature extremes. • Special circuit markers are available for easy identification of special lines. • Molded into the housing, side-entry grommets provide built-in strain relief and can accommodate multi-pair drop wire. • DTerminator 2 terminal products are compliant with Telcordia specification TR-NWT-000975 and TR-NWT-001305.
