This is a beautiful 1981 Ovation 1617 Legend electric acoustic guitar made in the United States. The body is made of spruce and has a natural color. It has a grand auditorium body type and a 4/4 size. The neck is made of mahogany and walnut, with an ebony fretboard. It has 20 frets and a 6 string configuration. This guitar is right-handed and has an intermediate performance level.
A real beauty! Electronics work, but is missing original stack knob which controls volume and eq. These guitars are known for their great sounding pickup system, and this one is no exception! The 9v battery holder on the inside has gone missing, so it will need to be retained with Velcro or tape. Very nice top! No real blems and frets and neck are superb! K I put #11 electric guitar strings on it because I ran out of acoustic, but they sound pretty cool on it! All around, great guitar for the money and sounds and plays great. A real classic and a great year for these models! Packed securely and shipped quickly. Priced to sell!!!
