OOAK Polymer Clay Art Doll: \" Elizabeth Taylor\" by Renata Jansen For Sale

This incredible likeness of Elizabeth Taylor was sculpted by the acclaimed UK artist, Renata Jansen, in 2012, one year after the movie icon\'s passing.She was hand-sculpted from a mix of polymer clays over a wire armature. Her skin tones have been painted with a mix of genesis paints and include features such as veins and birthmarks. Her lavendereyes are framed by hand applied lashes and makeup.
Liz is wearing a blue silk dress. The bodice is made from clay while the skirt is made from blue silk fabric.She also wears crystal-accented red shoes, a blue crystal necklace, and tiny crystal earrings.She sits on an elaborate lavender tufted stool.
Liz\'s rectangular base measures approx. 7\" x 5.\" The base is painted to mimic marble and is embellished with crystals.It bears Liz\'s name and life dates.On her base Liz is 10\" tall.
She comes with COA signed by the artist.
Liz is in very good condition. Unfortunately over the years some very tiny cracks have appeared in the clay on her shoulder blade,knee, and the back of her dress. They appear much more noticeable in the photos than in real life.The fissures have been stabilized on instruction from Renata, and they will not worsen.
I purchased Liz directly from Renata in 2012, and she has beendisplayed behind glass in a non-smoking home ever since.
