I recently salvaged this door from my boyhood home just before it was demolished. The house was built in 1923 & this was the door to the coal bin. It\'s 69 1/2 inches high,32 1/2inches wide and3/4 inch thick. It was handmade from tongue-in-groove roofing boards, the predecessor to plywood for house roofing. It\'s very solid and sturdy. The iron latch is in good condition, with a nice old patina.
It would be great forcreative projects: Maybe a wall-hanging backboard for old photos or collectibles,or the actual door to the playroom, wine cellar or man-cave.
