Old Kraftsman flat-top acoustic guitar, lower bout=13 1/4\", 14 fret neck with tail piece and floating bridge. Aprox. 38\" in length. Other than the logo on the headstock there are no decipherable marks. Sunburst finish, though probably not original. Made by Kay for Spiegel catalog \'40s & \'50s? Tuner buttons have been replaced and pickguard is not original. Scuffs and scratches from use. Neck is not steel-reinforced and has a slight bow. Action is high but playable. There are a couple of short cracks in the back that appear stable. Tuners work well. Guitar seems structurally stable and despite the bowed neck is very playable. Top looks to be 2-piece spruce or cedar. Back and sides I can\'t tell due to the paint. In those days they called laminated wood \"crack-proof\" and there are cracks...
Top and bottom are not coming loose, despite the paint coming off.
Neck joint is tight and intact.It\'s a good wall hanger or restoration piece, or just take it and play it!!
