- Places are identified in Latin by their ancient names andalso labeled, in smaller text, with their modern names.
- The image area measures agenerous 33.5 x 52.2 cm[13ΒΌ\" x 21\"]. Longitude is measured from Greenwich andFerro, and there are two distance scales, calibrated in Roman Miles andStatuteMiles.
- Among the labeled places on the map are Armenia,Campania, Mesopotamia, Dacia, Sarmatia, Assyria,Macedonia, Cappadocia, Babylonia, and many others, on a scale of 200geographical miles to one inch.
