PORSCHE Historic 356 King Carrera Bruce Jennings Original Mehitabel Shift Knob For Sale

This is the large metal shift knob Bruce Jennings (King Carrera) used (he had big hands) from his '58"Mehitabel" Porsche 356 GT speedster (now at Collier/Revs in Florida) and his other two racing speedsters. Bruce gave this to me sometime in the 80's since I had several of his parts installed on my various Porsche Speedsters and he knew I'd appreciate it. He called me up one day and said he was sending me some of his personal items... a packet of his Bosch spark plugs and this knob. He was so excited to send them. I never used any of them. I donated the plugs to Collier. This knob was my keepsake, but I can part with it now since my kids could care less!. According to Bruce, this is the very shift knob he used for nearly every race during his incredible reign in the 60's for many of the 67 SCCA National victories Mehitable won. It's incased in a small display case with his shipping label to me from his insurance company, Jennings Insurance, in Baltimore, plus two small original photos of #77 that he included, and one of Bruce in racing gear. Obviously, this is an amazing piece of Porsche racing history, and should go to someone who will treasure it in their collection long after I've passed into the Great Porsche in the Sky.
