Pre Columbian, Aztec, 8 grams, 5/8 inches in length, 1/2 inch in width and depth. No repairs, chipping, cracking or breaks. Expected weathering with light deposits. One of a kind necklace bead, featuring a carved image of a horse and a face. This bead may have been made during or shortly after the conquest of Mexico. Prior to 1521 the Pre Columbian people never had the use of pack animals, everything was carried by porters. Corte\'s only had the use of 16 horses on his first trek thru Mexico. All photos were taken by the purchaser utilizing a Canon Digital Camera and an AmScope 3.5x - 180x Trinocular Stereo Microscope with an 3MP USB 2.0 Microscope Digital Camera, a 144 Led Microscope Ring Light and appropriate Barlow Lenses. All posted photos are images of the subject bead, unless otherwise noted. Photos 1 thru 7 were taken with the Canon camera, photos 8 thru 12 were taken by the AmScope.
