Pre WW II, (1935-1942), Lionel Red Hopper Car, Number 2816, O Gauge For Sale

This is another car my now 85 year old husband enjoyed in his youth. In the late 1940s - early 1950s, his dad set up a train room and enjoyed these Lionel trains with his young son. They were only used for a few years as my husband’s interest turned to outdoor activities and team sports. We found the cars and engines wrapped carefully in his dad’s attic after his death and brought them to our California home. We continued to store them. Now, we are planning on downsizing and hoping they find a welcoming home.

I believe this car is in good order with minor paint loss, as photographed and minor rusting on the wheels. We are selling the pieces as is because nothing has been tested or used for over 70 years.
