Fine rig of pre WW1 US infantry rifleman's field gear. Excellent lot for the Punitive Expedition collector. All is 100% original and in usable condition. The 1917 holster is not the best example that can be found but it is solid and complete, clearly maker marked and dated 1918. The leg tie is an original WW1 era shoelace, and I'd say it's been on this holster since WW1 or WW2. Haversack is the earliest model m10 haversack, with cut and sewn shoulder straps and lace on mess tin pouch, in complete excellent usable condition. Very clean with little to no fading. All straps, hooks, tips, grommets are present and in excellent shape. There are two small leather stains on the mess tin pouch where it was folded up with a pack tail. The leather thongs that hold the pouch on the haversack are present but broken. Obviously easily replaced. This is a very scarce haversack in excellent condition, clearly RIA 1914 dated and inspected. No unit markings present. The cartridge belt (Mills manufacture) is in excellent usable condition and 100% complete with all snaps in excellent usable condition. Better than average on the cartridge belt. The M04 canteen I believe is the 07 mod with the carry strap sewn directly to the cloth cover with a web a-frame and snap hook. Canteen is in excellent complete condition. One of the rarer models of these early canteens. Lot further includes an of the era GI blanket in fine used condition. Makes a fine stuffer for the pack or you can wrap up in it and itch all night. (more coarse than normal). Overall an excellent rig ready for use or your favorite 1916 National Guardmannequin. Email with questions, return for any reason as a lot. NO OVERSEAS offerS, and I ship UPS, so please no PO Boxes. Thanks
