Pristine WHITE MILK GLASS antique TOOTH POWDER bottle - Odol - For the TEETH For Sale

4 7/8\" tall WHITE milk-glass unique rectangular-shapedantique TOOTH WASH bottle. Actually, the WHITE MILK GLASS has a very light PINK - LAVENDER - PINK TINT to it, naturally occurring from the glass being partly exposed to the sun over a period of its lifetime. With few exceptions ONLY glass items made before 1914 have the ability to take on this shade of amethyst. This is a very early hand Blown Into Mold bottle (BIM) with a ground top, dating it all the way back to the 1800\'s.

• Condition: This bottle is in PRISTINE SPARKLING CLEAN condition. NO cracks, chips, dings, damage, etc. PLEASE see pictures for overall idea of condition. (For the super critical eye, the only thing that I see that prevents this bottle from being in PERFECT MINT CONDITION is where the lip was hand ground after bring broken away from the blow pipe, some tiny, tiny, tiny flea-bite sized flakes occurred when the lip was being ground down. This is a total manufacturing related happening and not any damage to the bottle, so again I say, I just mention it for the \'super critical\' eye of the absolute perfectionist of a bottle collector who may want to know. In summary, I don\'t believe you could find a nicer example than this one here so if you are looking just for that special \'one\', a top end example as a representation of this bottle to own, here it is).

• Age: An early hand-blown bottle (Blown-In-Mold = BIM) with a ground-top, ca. late 1800\'s.

But even into the early 1900\'s look a-likes started to show up on the market in competition. When I googled \'Odol\' on the internet, here is what it said, \"Odol - Mint flavored Toothpaste from Germany. Whitening power, Prevent Periodontal Disease, Reduce Plaque and Dental Cavities with regular brushing.\" So the product is still around today in very similar shaped (plastic) bottles! So this product has been around for 120 + years and has evolved into a Toothpaste. There you have it, AND here you have it, a PRISTINE SPARKLING CLEAN nearly perfect example.
