LOOK AT THE AMAZING CONDITION OF THE GOLD FOIL ON THE COVERS!The books are bound in hardcover featuring stunning gold foil lions and designs. Published in 1894 by Niglutsch and printed by Colonial Press in Boston, this is a must-have for any collector of antiquarian and collectible books.The pages are in excellent condition The book covers the topic of natural history and is ideal for anyone interested in the subject. Each volume is approx 8.75 x 11.1 x 1.5 inches and approx 275 pagesNOTE: the books are heavy! each weighs just under 5 lbsCovers: the front of the covers are in amazing condition. CHECK THE PICTURES! note that each one has bottom edge wear and corner wear and VOLUME 4 has a quarter inch x 4 inch scuff mark that seems to have been made by a book with a red cover.Spines: gold print/foil is not as brilliant as the front covers, but still shows nicely on the shelf. top and bottom edge wear.Inside: EDGES ARE ALSO GOLD FOIL and are in ok condition. Still SHINES in the light, but you can notice \"scratches\" when all of the pages are together (check the pics). The inside images, words, pages are all in excellent shape. just know that each volume seems to have ONE odd staining on one or two random pages that looks like finger prints from someone with soot on their hands. CHECK PIC!
