This rare 1913 postcard depicts a fire disaster on Court Street in Binghamton, New York. Notice all the clear signs in this postcard, making it an excellent addition to your collection.

This fire was a devastating event, although it\'s the signage that makes this postcard particularly interesting. For example, you see a sign that says \"Thompsons,\" likely a restaurant. Also Judge Day cigars, Hull Grummond & Co Manufacturers. Also Ostrom\'s Cigar Store, located, at the time, at 71 Court Street.
My favorite sign in this postcard, though, is for Hotchkin\'s Insurance, and you can see the flames of the fire not far from the sign that reads \"Fire Insurance.\"The reference photo is a picture of Ostrom\'s Cigar Store in c1910, before the disaster.
