An original 1915 San Francisco,California PANAMA-PACIFIC INTERNATIONAL EXPOSITION special LEVI STRAUSS &Co. “Two Horse Brand” denim blue jeans, overalls, Koveralls and “KoverallNighties” origami folded advertising souvenir of the PPIE fair. Thisadvertising folder is folded into the shape of a pair of blue jeans with abuckle-back, riveted pockets and waist buttons for suspenders. The brochurefeatures some of the most amazing color lithography of the era! This is one ofthe greatest examples of advertising ephemera to be produced at the PPIE wherehundreds of brochures and advertising pieces were distributed over the monthsof the world’s fair at San Francisco. The center area of the folder includesseveral images of Levi\'s (Big E era) labels from different pieces of clothingissued by the company in the mid-1910’s. Included with the large panel is acolor image of the Levi, Strauss & Company building at the fair. Companyworkers actually produced trousers, coveralls, work wear and other clothing onthe grounds of the fair while fair goers watched! Printed words within the folderidentify the building: “Complete Factory in Operation In Palace of Manufactures– Panama-Pacific International Exp.”When folded, this advertising brochure measures 7 -3/4 inches tall(waist to bottom of leg). This is a legendary souvenir of the P.P.I.E. fair inSF in very nice condition with minor imperfections.
